When I first looked at this building, I was blown away by all the stuff that was left in it. It was full of furniture, equipment & commercial size coolers left from the long-running business, Brownville Mills. It also had been used as storage for a number of other items as well as some junk sitting around. It was fascinating and overwhelming at the same time. Here are a few pics before we moved stuff out.
There were tons of plastic containers sitting on the shelves. We heard that these containers were left full as the first buyer had (at one time) planned on opening the health food store (that did not happen).
The typewriter was left on the desk ready for someone to type up a label.
This building even came with its own cash register.
There were numerous signs including the following Dekalb sign.
The following are a few pics from the 2nd floor.
Hope you enjoyed a glimpse into what the building looked like when I first got it. I will post more pics over time.
So excited for the new life of Lone Tree!
WOW at all the things left. I am looking forward to coming and seeing your place even if it is not done yet
